Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary Offers Winter Camps to Children of All Ages
From Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary
This winter, Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary (YWS) is excited to offer two incredible camp opportunities that bring science and the natural world to life for kids of all ages!
Winter Wildlife Explorers is perfect for campers aged 8 and up who are ready to dive into the fascinating world of winter wildlife. Held every other Saturday in February and March from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm, this camp combines hands-on activities, engaging projects, and outdoor adventures. Each week, participants will explore a new scientific topic related to winter wildlife while working on a special enrichment project that spans the entire camp. Campers will enjoy exploring the sanctuary grounds, nature walks on Coal Miners Park trails, and interactive indoor sessions in our education building.
For younger adventurers aged 4-7, our Winter Wildlife Junior Camp provides a fun and educational introduction to winter wildlife science. Also held every other Saturday in February and March from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm, this camp is packed with themed activities designed to ignite curiosity and creativity. Campers will discover the wonders of the season through outdoor exploration, observing local wildlife thriving in the winter, and engaging in hands-on learning through play and activities.
Both camps are an incredible way to encourage your child to connect with nature, build new skills, and experience the magic of winter firsthand. Fee is $25 per camper per day.
Spots are limited, so be sure to sign up soon to secure your child’s place in one of these exciting programs!
