Ambulance Service Countywide Under Review
Emergency medical services across Carbon County are banding together to figure out how to provide reliable, prompt, quality service throughout the county. There are currently three ambulance agencies providing emergency medical and transport services located in Bridger, Joliet and Red Lodge relying mostly on volunteers. Volunteerism is falling and costs and requests for services are rising, requiring the agencies to rethink how they provide those services. Their first step is getting input from the public they serve.
Prepare and Be Aware: Overland and Ice Jam Flooding Possible This Weekend
The Billings office of the National Weather Service (NWS) wants to give everyone a heads up about an unusual flood situation that is developing for this weekend. Although it is early February and despite the recent warmth, there are still pockets of snow and frozen ground across the forecast area (in Billings, NWS measured 8 inches of frost depth recently). A storm system is expected to bring mainly rain and melting snow to the area from late Friday through Sunday (maybe Monday) for elevations below 5000 feet. We can't rule out rain and melting snow in the foothills up to about 7000 feet where the snowpack is thicker. Any rain/melting snow will rapidly runoff as it can't soak into the frozen or snow covered ground. This will increase the threat of overland flooding of roads and structures. Rosendale tours Montana with Gaetz ahead of decision on political future

The local pastor came to the area, spoke with the gentleman and, after some investigation, found that he had recently come to the area after some mental health issues in another area. Arrangements were made to assist the man.
