Weather System Brings Wind, Rain and Snow; Impacts to Roads and Waterways

High flows will continue on area waterways due to periods of showers and thunderstorms. While not likely at this time, minor flooding of smaller streams and creeks is possible. Use extra caution recreating on or near waterways.
Mountain snowfall is forecast through Thursday, with the heaviest snowfall through tonight. Snow will accumulate above 7,000 feet causing impacts to recreation and snow removal operations on the Beartooth Highway. Continue to monitor the forecast.
Gusty west-northwest winds will spread across the region tomorrow. The highest wind gusts are forecast in the far east, in the 40-50 mph range. Impacts to high-profile vehicles are possible along US Highways 12 and 212 as well as Interstates 90 and 94.
