Tomorrow Provides First Look at New Resident Wolves at Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary
Pilot and Index are enjoying their new habitat, neighbors and visitors
By Denise Rivette

Sunday, April 7, Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary (YWS) will open their gates to the public for the first time this season. This season is a special one for the sanctuary as YWS recently welcomed two gray wolves that were rescued from a roadside menagerie and taken to a sanctuary with other wolves. In their new haven, the pack was unsettled and it was determined that brother and sister would need to find another home. The stars aligned and the wolves, now named Index and Pilot, have found that home in Red Lodge at the Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary. Their quaratine is newly lifted and tomorrow marks the first day the general public will have a chance to see the new residents and welcome them to Montana. The Sanctuary will open at 10:00 a.m. and close at 4:00 p.m.
Memberships can be purchased online HERE or are available to purchase at the Sanctuary at the time of events or anytime the sanctuary is open at the gift shop. Information on upcoming events can be found HERE.
