Red Lodge, Montana – June 19-21, 2025
Press Release
Red Lodge, Montana, will once again host an unforgettable celebration of music and storytelling with the return of the 9th Annual Red Lodge Songwriter Festival from June 19-21, 2025. Over three days, the charming streets of Red Lodge, along with local bars, cafes, and theaters, will come alive with live performances by twenty-six talented songwriters, including Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame members and rising stars from across the country.
This year’s festival will feature more than forty shows spread across eight iconic downtown venues, bringing together fans and artists for an intimate experience like no other. Tony Arata (“The Dance,” recorded by Garth Brooks) and Richard Leigh (“Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue,” recorded by Crystal Gayle) are just two of the many legendary songwriters who will grace the stage. Other performers include Grammy-nominated Kim Richey (“Believe Me Baby,” recorded by Trisha Yearwood) and popular artist James T. Slater (“High Cost of Living,” recorded by Jamey Johnson). They’ll be joined by rising stars such as Kat Higgins (“Knowing You,” recorded by Kenny Chesney), James Dean Hicks (“Goodbye Time,” recorded by Blake Shelton), and twenty emerging songwriters from Montana, Nashville, and beyond.
“This festival is about more than just music—it’s about the stories behind the songs and the artists who craft them,” says Mike Booth, Executive Director of the Red Lodge Songwriter Festival. “We’re thrilled to invite music lovers to our beautiful corner of Montana to experience world-class songwriters in an intimate and welcoming environment.”
Tickets for the festival range from $25 to $195, with VIP packages available from $1,750 to $2,850, which include lodging and exclusive passes. The festival offers something for everyone, whether you’re a casual listener or a dedicated music aficionado.
