Red Lodge Police Department’s Chief Greg Srock announced today that the Red Lodge Police Department began an investigation of multiple individuals related to the use, sale and distribution of illicit narcotics in October 2023.
Since then, Red Lodge Police Department officers have apprehended approximately thirteen individuals. Those arrested include individuals local to Carbon County and Red Lodge as well as people from other states. The simultaneous investigations were initiated to combat the illicit use and sales of cocaine and methamphetamine.
Since October of 2023, the Red Lodge Police Department, Carbon County Sheriff’s Department and other partnering agencies have seized over one-half pound of methamphetamine in addition to oxycodone, fentanyl and a substantial amount of cocaine.
This investigation into the illicit sale and use of narcotics also led the Red Lodge Police Department to investigate and arrest multiple individuals who were fugitives, theft suspects, stolen vehicle suspects, prohibited firearms possessors and suspects in child sex crime cases.
Chief Srock stated, “The Red Lodge Police Department will continue to pursue persons that are involved in the illicit use and or sales of narcotics and will utilize all resources available to combat this significant problem to keep our citizens safe. These investigations are currently ongoing and will not cease until all involved face criminal charges.”
No further details are available at this time as the investigations are ongoing.
Chief Srock would like to thank the Carbon County Sheriff’s Department, State and Federal agencies in Montana, Wyoming’s Park County Sheriff’s Department and Wyoming State Agencies for assisting the Red Lodge Police Department in combating this ever-growing criminal activity.
