The National Weather Service in Billings wishes everyone a Happy Friday! In addition, they are providing a heads up on the potential shift in the weather pattern to colder temperatures with light snow which could impact Thanksgiving travel late next week.
DETAILS
Temperatures trending cooler toward the end of next week with highs in the 20s and 30s possible by Thanksgiving.
Light snow may (low to moderate chance right now) impact the region Wednesday through Friday. Timing remains uncertain, but overall accumulations look light. Highest accumulation potential over the mountains and foothills.
IMPACTS
Snow may impact Thanksgiving travel. Even a little precipitation frozen on the road can lead to a major accident. Do your part to mitigate the risks by buckling seatbelts, driving while alert and unimpaired, and slowing down and leaving extra room between moving vehicles on wet or icy surfaces.
