A third party called in an assault that had just occurred at a friend’s house near Roberts. The victim had a laceration on her head and is also believed to have sustained a concussion while being knocked down by her drunken boyfriend. The male fled the scene prior to law enforcement’s arrival; however, almost an hour later, a trooper spotted the male’s vehicle outside of a Bridger bar. He was apprehended and taken to Gallatin County Detention Facility on Partner or Family Member Assault (PFMA) charges. A No Contact Order was placed between the couple.
A deputy responded to a different PFMA that was in progress. The wife was able to safely leave her house and lock herself in a vehicle until the deputy arrived on scene. The husband was arrested for PFMA and transported to Yellowstone County Detention Facility.

Dispatch helped a truck driver who was lost up in “dry desert area” and had zero clue of where he was currently stuck. He somehow took a route from Belgrade to Powell that landed him up in the mountains in Wyoming, but his 911 calls were pinging to the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office. After solving the mystery of where he was, he was able to get turned around and back on a highway.
A deputy received a tip that a man who was just released from jail was now with his girlfriend in a bar, thus violating his No Contact Order. The suspect again fled upon law enforcement’s arrival, drove away in his mother’s vehicle, and was able to remain undetected for 20 minutes. Once re-spotted by another deputy, the suspect took off and led several deputies through a high-speed chase for approximately 25 minutes before crashing and fleeing on foot. He was last spotted running away through the rough terrain and steep ravines.
While deputies were searching for a suspect, the suspect’s girlfriend called 911 to report that she was just assaulted by an ex-best friend at a bar. She had left the scene and asked for a deputy to respond. One did and started questioning the caller. Suddenly she became uncooperative, refused to press any charges, and denied any help from law enforcement.

A RLPD officer took possession of the bill that was in question and had it tested. It came back fine and the bill was turned back over to the business owner.
A man called to report his vehicle was being stolen. A deputy spoke with all parties involved and learned the vehicle actually did not belong to the caller. He had just towed it for the actual owner who was currently and legally reclaiming it. The man stated the owner sold him the car and signed the title over to him. The owner denied this, and the man refused to provide such a title, and the vehicle return did still come back to the actual owner. They were all allowed to go on their way, but the caller was upset with the outcome, stating the deputy is now the vehicle thief. Case is ongoing.
A report of a drunk driver was called in, and the identified vehicle was pulled over by a deputy after the vehicle was observed as being driven erratically. The driver was indeed found to be extremely intoxicated. He was arrested and processed at Laurel PD, issued citations, and taken to an inn for the night.

The abrupt change in weather brought colder temperatures, snow in the higher elevations, and a slew of slide offs. All motor vehicle mishaps were assisted by dispatch, deputies, Highway Patrol Troopers and when needed, our local tow companies. No major injuries were reported.
RLEMS was feeling great that the slide offs were injury-free, but they were called upon several times to deal with injuries on the slopes. Mother Nature is keeping us all on our toes throughout the county today!
An extremely concerned caller reported that there was a male outside near her residence dressed in camo and a black jacket and carrying a rifle. He was described as not agitated but pacing back and forth. Several Deputies and a local Fish & Game officer responded to the area and discovered kids playing with their air soft rifles. No laws were broken, so all went on with their day.
