Juvenile Rescued in Pryor Mountain Area After ATV Accident
Technical Rope Rescue team and St. Vincent Help-Flight assisted in rescue

Carbon County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) Dispatch reported on social media that it received a Text-to-911 request for help with an ATV Crash in the Pryor Mountain area shortly after 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. CCSO along with multiple emergency responders from Carbon County and Big Horn County-Wyoming responded to the scene to discover a juvenile male who left the roadway on an ATV and crashed approximately 100 feet downslope from the roadway, including an estimated 30-40 foot cliff face. A Technical Rope Rescue team from the Big Horn County-Wyoming Search and Rescue was able to reach the patient, as well as other emergency responders. With their expertise, the patient was able to be safely brought to an awaiting ambulance and transferred to St. Vincent Help-Flight a short distance away at about 2:30 p.m. The patient was conscious and alert when he departed for further medical care.
