Joliet and the Clarks Fork Valley Can Expect Fog and Slick Roads Tonight and Tomorrow Morning
Give yourselves extra time, be alert and slow down
The Billings Office of the National Weather Service forecasts areas of fog over southeast and southcentral Montana tonight into tomorrow morning. In Carbon County, Joliet and the Clarks Fork Valley are predicted to experience the most fog. Combined with freezing temperatures overnight, the moisture is expected to create patches of icy road conditions.
Visibility in fog will be reduced below one mile at times, with the lowest visibility over southeast Montana. Fog will be locally dense over Fallon and Carter counties, where visibility will drop to a quarter mile at times. Expect dramatic fluctuations in visibility and allow for extra travel time. The fog will lift late tomorrow morning into early afternoon.
Leave yourself extra time if you need to drive somewhere, be aware of other vehicles that might hit a patch of ice or fog, and reduce your speed.
