In Carbon County, All But One School District See Levies Fail in Unofficial Election Results

It was a disappointing outcome for education in Carbon County as the election results rolled in from around the county last night. All districts except Red Lodge saw their requests for levies fail.
The unofficial results are presented below:
In Fromberg, their General Fund Levy failed 62 to 148. Zephani Blasi won the position of Three Year Trustee with 97 votes to Toni Bergstrom’s 75 and Joshua Cox’s 43. The new One Year Trustee is Joe Yedlicka with 222 votes and one write-in. 248 ballots were cast out of 766 registered voters.
In Joliet, both levies on the ballot failed with the Elementary General Fund Levy failing 316 to 397 and the High School General Fund Levy failing 246 to 365. 725 ballots were cast out of 1,705 registered voters.
The Joliet/Laurel School District had their High School General Levy fail 49 to 65. 116 ballots were cast out of 296 registered voters.
The Luther School District saw their General Fund Levy fail 69 to 71. 140 ballots were cast out of 334 registered voters.
Red Lodge High School Only Building Reserve Levy failed with 65 votes for and 77 votes against. 142 ballots were cast out of 334 registered voters.
Red Lodge School District 1 had their Building Reserve Levy pass 717 to 518 while their High School Building Reserve Levy pass 518 to 408. 1,266 ballots were cast out of 3,371 registered voters.
In Roberts, the General Fund Levy failed with 97 for and 133 against. Debbie Hill was voted in as Three Year Trustee with 162 votes to Tim Swansborough, Jr.’s 93 votes. 262 ballots were cast out of 832 registered voters.
