Fromberg Teen Dead, Two Teens Injured in Weekend Accident

On Saturday, May 4, just after 9:00 p.m., Payton Stetson, a 16 year old girl from Fromberg who attended Bridger High School was killed after she lost control of the Chevrolet C15 she was driving while negotiating a curve on Blue Water Road. After overcorrecting, the truck left the dry gravel roadway, struck a fence and overturned landing on its roof. Stetson was declared dead on the scene and her two passengers, a 13 year old boy from Fromberg and a 16 year old girl from Deaver, Wyoming, were transported to Billings Clinic with injuries. None of the occupants of the car were wearing seat belts. Speed and alcohol are suspected as contributing factors in this tragedy.
