Confidence high regarding prediction of snow for Thanksgiving throughout Carbon County
While the forecast has remained on track for a chilly end to the week, the confidence of the National Weather Service Office in Billings has increased for a snow event to occur over Thanksgiving. It is forecasted for Red Lodge Mountain to receive 2” Wednesday night, 7” Thursday and 3” Thursday night for a grand total of one foot of fresh snow for opening day on Friday. Around the county, Roscoe can expect approximately 10” from this event, East Rosebud Lake and Roberts 8”, Joliet 7”, Fromberg and Bridger 5”, Belfry, 4” and Bearcreek 8”.
If you are going to be out on the roads, remember to bring along emergency supplies such as a shovel, sand or cat litter, food, water, extra warm clothing, flashlight and batteries, phone charger and a red bandana.
