Fire Weather Wednesday Afternoon Followed by Rain and Mountain Snow

The Billings office of the National Weather Center reports that with very warm, dry and windy conditions forecasted, near critical fire weather conditions are expected across the western foothills Wednesday afternoon. Be careful not to cause a spark during this time.
Confidence is increasing for a pattern change to occur Wednesday night behind a cold front, bringing about widespread rain and snow in the higher elevations. Before that front comes through, there is increased fire weather concerns Wednesday afternoon due to breezy winds.
