Cooler and Wetter Friday through the Weekend
From the Billings office of the National Weather Service
The Billings office of the National Weather Service predicts a pattern change to cooler and wetter is expected Friday through this weekend, with the coolest and wettest conditions occurring Saturday and Sunday. During this time, impacts to outdoor activities and travel are possible.
KEY POINTS
Temperatures in the 50s and 60s Friday and 30s and 40s Saturday and Sunday.
Periods of rain and snow for the lower elevations Friday evening through Sunday. The best chance of seeing all snow over the lower elevations is Saturday night into Sunday.
Periods of all snow expected in the mountains generally above 6000 feet. Snow levels will decrease Saturday into Sunday.
The cool and wet weather may create hazardous conditions for those with outdoor plans and young livestock.
While snow accumulations will mainly be on grassy surfaces over the lower elevations this weekend, minor travel impacts remain possible from slushy/slick roads and reduced visibility in precipitation.
