A Deputy is investigating allegations of a dog’s continual vicious behavior.
A complaint was made over a vehicle that was broken down in a turnout that a school bus frequently turns around in. By the time contact was made with the owner, it was confirmed that the owner was already in contact with a tow truck to try to get it removed.
Extra patrol was requested near Joliet for a traffic complaint of the reporting party’s neighbor’s habitual speeding.

People successfully pushed a car that was on fire away from a local business and other vehicles before Joliet Fire arrived to extinguish the car.
A woman became trapped in an expensive scam that eventually had threatening connotations before she finally called the authorities for help to get out of the scam.
An RLPD Officer visited a business a couple different times to confront a male subject that had been called in by separate parties. The man was talked to by the Officer, telling him it would be a good idea to not unnecessarily and purposefully argue and pick fights with people. Later, the Officer observed the same man driving and pulled him over after observing multiple traffic violations. The man was found to be Driving Under the Influence after submitting himself to testing. He was issued citations, and his vehicle was towed. The man refused a ride home from the Officer.
An injured bear was caught on camera by a property owner, who then called Dispatch to ask someone to check on the animal in its den on the caller’s property. The call was referred to Fish, Wildlife, and Parks.

A man called 911 because he didn’t know what to do after getting kicked out of his now ex-girlfriend’s house in the middle of the night. A Deputy arrived and interviewed both parties several times to sort the situation out. He offered to give the man a ride to somewhere else, but the man refused after learning that the Deputy was not going to arrest his ex-girlfriend based solely on him wanting to press charges against her on his unfounded claims.
A third party was concerned about a possible airplane crash after it was observed doing loops over town, causing black smoke, then disappearing. After Dispatch contacted the person who actually viewed the incident to get accurate, first-hand details, they called the FAA to inquire about any possible crashes. None had been reported to them via calls or GPS.

Law enforcement out of ND requested assistance with a runaway juvenile who may have sought refuge with family in Carbon County. Deputy and Bridger PD Chief were able to locate the juvenile, inform the caller and advise appropriate social service agencies about the situation.
A local female reported harassment by an ex-boyfriend, and was able to obtain an Order of Protection as was explained by the responding Deputy.
A caller reported he observed an individual become highly intoxicated, then leave in his vehicle to make a long drive to his residence. Deputies were able to locate the individual driving, test, cite and process him for Driving Under the Influence, and drive him safely home.

A physical altercation at a local drinking establishment led to one of the brawlers being charged with several offenses, and ordered to appear in court to answer for his misdeeds.
Highway Patrol Trooper was called out to assist an individual whose brand-new vehicle was found to be irresistible by a deer who tried to make it across the road in front of it.
A concerned local advised dispatch that it appeared as though a delivery in front of NAPA had boxes opened and things may have been stolen. RLPD investigation uncovered there were items left outside by NAPA that they were offering gratis to anyone that could use them.

A report of a flooding parking lot was simply a runoff puddle from an overly enthusiastic sprinkler system.
After losing a phone somewhere on a 40-acre lot, the owner was hoping that the Sheriff’s Department can “ping” it to help find its location. It was explained that is not within the purview of law enforcement.

Deputies and RLPD Officers had numerous contacts with an out of state individual over the weekend, who appeared to be having difficulties with his behaviors as well as a vehicle with improper plates.
Callers concerned over a possible structure fire were relieved to be told that our Red Lodge Fire Rescue members were busy training on their “active firehouse” at their amazing training center.
