A sergeant called the identified driver of the vehicle and the suspect driver agreed to come to the RLPD to speak with a sergeant and the chief about the situation. The vehicle he drove to the Police Department was towed and he was processed and issued several citations involving the DUI and the crash.

A man crashed his motorcycle somewhere on the Beartooth Pass, but couldn’t pinpoint where. He reportedly broke some ribs and had some cuts and bruises. He left the scene to go get his vehicle, went back to pick up his bike, and then went home before reporting the crash hours later. He finally called in wanting the police report number for insurance purposes, which did not exist since he didn’t report the crash when it occurred as required by law and the crash could not be investigated properly. It was determined from a photo the man took that the crash occurred in Wyoming and the call was forwarded to WHP.
August 16
A couple resumed their argument this morning after separating on their own for the night. Several children were in the home witnessing the fighting. A deputy and the undersheriff responded and it was found to be a verbal dispute. The girlfriend was offered a domestic violence packet and the two separated again. Dispatch was notified a few hours later that a no contact order had been put into effect.
A two-vehicle collision occurred in the north end of Red Lodge. Red Lodge Fire managed traffic control while a tow truck removed one of the heavily damaged vehicles that was blocking one lane. RLPD did a crash report, issued citations to one of the drivers, and the tow truck came back for the other disabled vehicle.
A two-vehicle collision north of Joliet was responded to by deputies, Joliet Fire and EMS, and a tow truck. No one was seriously injured and all involved declined to go to a hospital. The crash was turned over to MHP.
A Red Lodge resident called about a man in his 20s who was standing on his property and making threats. The man was yelling at the caller that the caller’s neighbors were going to die. The man left on foot before RLPD officers arrived on scene. The man was a person the RLPD has been dealing with quite a bit lately. They searched for him and found him just over an hour later. He was issued a citation and given a court date.

A Fromberg man reported that a neighbor’s dogs were running loose. He claimed one of them bit his wife before but that no reports were made to back up that claim. He asked for a deputy to meet with him and other “witnesses” face to face. A deputy got the whole story and the caller decided that he only wanted this incident documentented.
