September 16
A woman called in a possible attempted entry into her house while she was home late at night. Law Enforcement response was called off, however, after the woman found a bag left on her door. Inside the bag was a birthday present for her that a friend had dropped off.
September 17
The first temporary road closure on Beartooth Pass for the 24-25 season occurred after snowfall at Top of the World. The road opened up a couple of days later.
A deputy investigated alleged threats from one juvenile student to another via group text message. The report is to be given to the School Resource Officer for follow-up.
September 19
A deputy spoke with a landlord about how to proceed with an eviction process because one of her male tenants made her feel uncomfortable after he broke the lease agreement.
Red Lodge Fire responded to investigate a smoke alarm that was reported by a monitoring company. Turned out to be a false alarm, as the resident was simply busy cooking bacon.
September 20
A vehicle versus bear near Fromberg ended up deploying air bags and disabling the vehicle. Luckily, no one was hurt and they decided to come back to get the vehicle at a later date. A deputy handled the crash until MHP was able to take over.
September 21
RLPD is investigating a case where a vehicle’s windshield was shot with what appears to be a pellet or .22 round.
A Bridger officer issued a disorderly conduct citation to a person in the middle of the day for wandering the streets while highly intoxicated, all the while loudly cussing and causing a disturbance.
September 22
RLPD sergeant pulled over a vehicle after the female driver nearly stuck a patrol car with her car. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence. She was taken to the sheriff’s office for processing while the vehicle was towed. The woman was issued citations and given a ride home.
