ATF and Lewis & Clark County Sheriff's Office Offer $10,000 Reward for Information on Helena Firebombing at Law and Justice Center
Today, the local Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is reaching out to Montana citizens with a request to help solve the April 2023 firebombing at the Lewis and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Crystal McCoy, ATF Public Information Officer, stated:
“On April 2nd, at 1:50 a.m., a shocking incident occurred at the City of Helena Law and Justice Center involving a firebombing attack employing an ignited incendiary bomb (Molotov cocktail) on sheriff's vehicles and property. This caused thousands of dollars of damage. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), in partnership with the Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's Office, is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
“Despite the passage of time, this case remains unsolved. The City of Helena Law and Justice Center houses critical agencies, and it's imperative that we bring the perpetrators to justice for the safety of our community. Public safety is a collective responsibility, and the citizens of Helena and beyond can play a vital role in bringing closure to this unsettling crime.”
