Montana DNRC State Nursery Announcement
The Montana Conservation Seedling Nursery is now taking orders for seedlings for Spring 2025.
Since 1927 The Montana Conservation Seedling Nursery has been growing genetically rich seedlings from wild collected and source identified seed for conservation projects across Montana.
The 60+ acre facility, located in Missoula, produces over one million tree and shrub species annually for post-fire restoration, shelterbelts/ windbreaks, wildlife habitat, erosion control and other restoration/ conservation projects. In 2022, the Montana Native Seed Network was developed to create seed mixes sourced from wild plant populations found throughout the state. The Seedling Nursery has been a proprietary fund for the past 15 years operating on seedling revenue and grant opportunities.
